Pai Gow Poker Game Rules

Now let’s become versed in some alternate styles of poker other than hold’em, 7 card stud, 5 card draw and omaha hold’em. Yes, pai gow poker. Now you might be wondering that pai gow sounds a bit Chinese; yes you’re correct, this casino game is a mixture of the Chinese game pai gow and our own us poker
Clearly this isn’t one of the highly popular varieties of poker but still broadly played. It can be played by up to 7 players. It’s played with 1 deck of 52 cards, plus a joker. Interestingly, joker can only be used as an ace, or to complete a straight, flush, straight flush, or a royal flush. The important aspect here to always remember is apart from the usual ranking of hands we have an additional winning hand which is "Five Aces" (four Aces and the Joker). Astonishingly, five aces defeats every other hand yes, even a royal flush. Every gambler is dealt seven cards. These cards are arranged to make two hands; a 2 card hand and a five card hand. The 5 card hand must be stronger or be equivalent to the 2 card hand.
After setting up the 2 hands, the cards are placed on the table with the faces down. Once on the table, you are no longer allowed to switch them. The croupier will flip over his cards and arrange their hands. Every players hand is played against the dealer’s hands. If the player take 1 hand and loses the other, this is referred to as "push" and absolutely no money is lost or won. If croupier wins both hands then the player looses their bet and vice versa. Now if there is a draw, the dealer wins everything. After the hand is played, the next player clock-wise becomes the dealer and the following hand is dealt.
