Online poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the house rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little conniving or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer saying "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different gamblers attain five cards each. After you have observed your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to either make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning ante, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager comes the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus a figure in accordance with the initial wager. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The house pony’s up money equal to your initial bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
