Caribbean Poker Rules and Tips

Online poker has become globally celebrated lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the other players are given 5 cards each. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning ante, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your bet goes immediately to the bank. After the wager comes the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, plus a sum equal to the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The dealer pony’s up cash equal to your ante and fixed odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
