Ah, the poker steam. If a poker enthusiast states never to have peered over the barrel of an approaching poker tilt – they’re either telling a lie or they have not been competing long enough. This doesn’t indicate obviously that every poker player has been on tilt in the past, a few players have great control and take their losses as a hit and keep it at that. It is an inevitable outcome of participating in Holdem, or for that matter any kind of poker.
After all we are assumingly (most of us) playing poker for a single purpose – to earn $$$$, it certainly makes sense that we will bet appropriately to maximize profits. Now let us say you are up $100 off of a $100 deposit, and you suffer a gigantic blow in a NL game and your bankroll is only has remaining $120. You have squandered $80 in a round where you should have picked up $200two hundred dollars when you went all-in on the flop and enjoyed a ten to one advantage. And that fish!
