Caribbean Poker Regulations and Pointers

Internet poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the dealer rather than each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier declares "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different players receive 5 cards each. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you must either make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning ante, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantaneously to the casino. After the wager is the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, including a sum in accordance with the original bet. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out chips even with your original bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
